I know, its kind of a late post :), but you know, if good things take time to come, bad things then take some more :D. Last Saturday, I went watching the new Marty Scorscese (yeshh ! The Goodfellas guy) thriller The Departed boasting of a fundoo ensemble cast having Matt Damon, De Caprio and Jack Nicholson on board, and thankfully, like beeg Hindi movies, it din't flatter to disappoint, the movie works very well and then some more.

It is essentially the tale of two cops, one a mole in the police department and another a cop in the gangsta's hideout. And the gangster is played by you-guessed-it-right, Mr. Nicholson, who can never be a dunce, put him in whichever role you would want to. And given, both of them are threaded through the same source, they cross paths and how ? There are quintessential stand-out moments when DiCaprio and Damon are on the ends of a phone connection for the 1st time, utter, pindrop silence, the key decision of the prey and the hunter hinging on that one moment. And the ending, another of Marty's trademarks, I guess if you have seen enough of him, you already know what I mean :) ? Btw, is it only me, or Damon and Caprio actually look like long-lost brothers and could pass as twins, if one din't know more ?

So, if you haven't watched it yet !! Plz. spend 150 or so bucks on a ticket, simply put, this one might be the show-stealer at the oscars this year :).
